Midnight Sun on hold indefinitely?!

August 29th, 2008 by Debbie's World of Books

Oh no, I just read on Stephenie Meyer’s website that Midnight Sun is on hold indefinitely.  She posted a copy of her draft of the first few chapters of Midnight Sun: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html.  But she said she really can’t imagine continuing it after the draft was leaked.

I really hope she re-considers and finishes it up.

I haven’t read Breaking Dawn yet (I’ve heard it’s not that good – what do you think?) but I’ve read and enjoyed the others.

I too hope she reconsiders Midnight Sun.

BD definitely was not as good as the previous three. It was a pretty good wrap up and I enjoyed it more on my second reading. But where as I couldn’t put down the first 3 books this one took me a few days to get through. I had to read it even with the bad reviews just to find out what happens.

    noooooo

    sooo sad.

    i can’t believe this.

I agree, she should reconsider. Maybe she’s just feeling upset right now and needs some time to think….

    hopefully, she finishes it.

    =(

I loved all of the books and I am definitely upset about the whole “Midnight Sun” thing. I think Stephenie underestimates how badly people want to read this book! I will be extremely disappointed if she doesn’t finish and publish it. I haven’t read the part that she released on her website, and I won’t. Why torture yourself by beginning something that you might not be able to finish?

I hope she reconsiders as well. I started to read the posted chapters of Midnight Sun but stopped. I heard the chapters end at a really good part and leave you hanging. So I don’t even want to torture myself.
