Twilight DVD Release 3/21

March 16th, 2009 by Debbie's World of Books

So I’m sure you have seen the commercials and sales ads and know that the Twilight DVD is coming out on 3/21.  I am pretty sure I am going to buy it but I also noticed that different stores seem to have different promotions and dvds.  At least what I have found is:

Borders says it has an exclusive 2 disc plus booklet edition here.  They also advertise just the regular two disc version.  I’m pretty sure most Borders are also having launch parties so check your local Borders.

Target is offering a 3 disc exclusive version with a free iTunes download of the movie and bonus content.  The ad says the third disc contains 45 minutes of unseen footage.  They are also offering a 2 disc deluxe Blu-ray set.

Walmart is offering both a 1 disc version and the 2 disc version of Twilight.

BestBuy online at least looks like they are only advertising the 1 disc version in blu-ray and regular format.

I didn’t post prices since I’m sure each store is going to be running some sort of in-store special when it comes out.  I’m pretty set on getting the Target version as long as it does not sell out.

I’m so excited!! I can’t wait to buy this! Even though I saw it 4 times at the theater. Yeah, I’m not the least bit obsessed…

LOL. So which version are you going to get?

I can’t wait! I’m getting the 3-disc version at Target!!!

I loved this movie. I read the book first and was expecting not to like the film for some reason, but ended up falling in love. It is so true to my imagination, and Bella, Edward esp were perfectly cast. I didn’t think that they could match up to the book characters but they really are perfect. Edward is much more likable in the film than the book – less moody and domineering. Great film version. I didn’t really ‘feel’ Carlisle though. For some reason totally obsessed with the iconic apple

Carlisle was ok in the movie but Jasper creeped me out. He looked like a possessed doll.

I thought Charlie was perfect. I think he was one of my favorites in the movie. And Emmett was right on too.

I agree Charlie was great and I liked Alice too.
