My book reviews, book news & random rants

Survivor Nov. 6

November 7th, 2008 by Debbie's World of Books

So my daughter wouldn’t go to bed so I’m just going to have to give a quick summary of the early part of the show.  The merge didn’t happen but the tribes got mixed up.  So Corrinne, Matty, Randy, Sugar and Charlie end up on the Fang tribe and Bob, Susie, Kenny, Marcus and Crystal are now on the Kota tribe.  There was an immunity idol hidden where they had a party picnic and Marcus and Randy convinced everyone to throw it out to sea.  No one wanted to claim it since they thought it would guarantee them going home.

Matty convinces Sugar that Ace wasn’t gunning for her so the two of them need to stick together.  Susie is convinced she has the power now because she can flop to the other side.  I think she’s delusional though.  Seems like no one really trusts her.  I think the old Kota two and the old Fang two should agree to vote Susie out and duke it out themselves afterwards.

Randy is proposing the idea of losing Immunity on purpose to try and get rid of Matty.

Immunity challenge: they have to hold both arms out to their sides and balance poles on top of them.  If their arms drop at all then the poles will fall.  Crystal was out in one second, Sugar out in 10 seconds.  What kind of Olympian is Crystal?  I have yet to see any challenge she exceled in.  Even the running one.  Wasn’t she a track Olympian?  Susie, Randy and Corrinne are out.  Kenny is out.  Marcus is staring to shake and he’s out.  Now it’s Bob against Charlie and Matty.  Charlie is out.  Matty looks like he is hurting.  Bob is doing amazingly well.  Matty is trying to psych Bob out.  And Bob is out.  Matty wins immunity for Fang even though it seems like Fang tried to throw the challenge.

At the Kota tribe Marcus wants Kenny to go home.  So he tries to convince Crystal to vote Kenny out and then Crystal will replace Susie in the Kota six.  He said that Corrinne hates Susie so it wouldn’t be a problem.  Marcus is now working on Susie to vote out Kenny since Crystal sucks at challenges.  Susie totally believes Marcus will help her get to top three.  I don’t understand why.

Crystal is telling Kenny that they want to vote him out.  So now they need to get Susie back on their side.  Susie stupidly tells Crystal that Marcus said he will take her to the final three.  Crystal is telling Susie that Marcus is lying to her.  Susie is such a nut case it’s hard to tell which way she goes.  I think she’s a lost cause whichever way she votes.  She won’t make it to the top 3 unless there is some miracle.

Susie went with Kenny and Crystal and voted Marcus out.  Too bad.  I liked him.

I never realized how useful your reality show posts could be to me, since I watch none of them. Then it dawned on me. My boss watches most of these shows and more! I can seem informed if I read your updates. ;) Now if you only watched the rest of his shows: Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, ummmmm…that’s all I can remember now.

LOL. Glad to be of service. Sorry don’t watch those. The only other shows I watch are Private Practice and Stylista but man blogging about shows takes a lot of attention :)

I don’t even know what those shows are!!! How am I so disconnected from pop culture. I’d still rather watch my classic sitcoms from the 70s and 80s such as Three’s Company, Gilligan’s Island, etc.

LOL. Private Practice is the spin off of Grey’s Anatomy and Stylista is a group of people who want to get a job as a junior editor of Elle magazine. Some of these characters are nut cases.
