Scholastic Book Sale

December 13th, 2008 by Debbie's World of Books

I’m so excited.  I went to the Scholastic book sale today and picked up 16 books for about $50.  Most of them were 50% off, a few were 25% off and 4 of them were just $1 each.  I went mostly to look for my books for my daughter and my nieces and nephews but of course since I’ve been on a YA book kick I picked up quite a few for myself.  In fact, one book I have been wanting to check out turned out to be a YA book and I did not even know it.  I’m especially excited about the kids books because I was just telling some friends I couldn’t get over how expensive children’s books were.  I donated one book that was like 15 pages long and it cost $15!  I mean that’s $1 per page and there are maybe 10 words per page.

Here’s what I picked up today:

  • Night Swimming by RObin Schwarz
  • The Dark Hills Divide (The Land of Elyon Book 1) by Patrick Carman
  • The Good German by Joseph Kanon
  • Dumping Billy by Olivia Goldsmith
  • The 39 Clues The Maze of Bones Book 1 by Rick Riordan
  • Te House Next Door by Richie Tankersley Cusick
  • Artemis Fowl The Lost Colony by Eoin Colfer
  • Inkspell by Cornelia Funke
  • Biscuit’s Pet & Play Easter by Alyssa Satin Capucilli
  • Curious Geroge Snowy Day
  • Star Wars The Clone Wars-The New Padawan
  • Curious George Tadpole Trouble
  • Curious George Makes Pancakes
  • Dora the Explorer Say “Ahhh!” Dora Goes to the Doctor
  • Tinkerbell A Guide to Pixie Hollow
  • Dora’s Spooky Halloween
  • Trace and Learn Wipe Clean Number Learning Fun
  • Peek-a-Zoo
  • Care Bears Ten Bouncing Balloons
  • Puppy’s Suitcase
