What to read on the airplane?

December 15th, 2008 by Debbie's World of Books

I am so excited that for the first time I am going on a plane ride and don’t have to take a bag full of books with me.  I bought four books for my Kindle.  It’s my first time traveling with my daughter so I might not have as much time to read as on previous flights so we’ll see.  The books I’ll have to read are: Eat, Pray, Love, Straight Talking by Jane Green,The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and The Good Thief.  How cool to have 4 books all in the size of just one.

I love my Kindle. The only thing I don’t think it has (I haven’t read the manual yet because I was so excited to start reading) is a backlight for when you are in a darker area. I heard the Sony ebook reader does but when I played with the Sony reader I did not care for the feel of it or the navigation. For some reason the Sony one felt clunkier to me.

For the Kindle the wireless is awesome! If I finish a book at the train station I can download a new one right then and there.

Kindle! One of these days I will own one. I’m currently reading Eat, Pray, Love.

I hope Eat, Pray, Love is good. I can’t wait to start it.
