Bookish Sites I Like To Visit

January 21st, 2009 by Debbie's World of Books

Here are some bookish websites I like to visit other than the blogs I follow.  Let me know if you know of any other interesting sites.

Library Thing

From their website:

  • Join the world’s largest book club.
  • Catalog your books from Amazon, the Library of Congress and 690 other world libraries. Import from anywhere.
  • Find people with eerily similar tastes.
  • Find new books to read.
  • Free Early Reviewer books from publishers and authors
  • Enter 200 books for free, as many as you like for $10 (year) or $25 (life).

BookMooch

Post your books and request books from other users.

PaperBackSwap

Like BookMooch post your books and request books from other users.

Facebook has a Books Worth Reading group.

Book Blogs

Welcome to Book Blogs! Our members read books, blog books, write books, and publicize books.

Shelfari

From their website:

Based in Seattle, Shelfari introduces readers to our global community of book lovers and encourages them to share their literary inclinations and passions with peers, friends, and total strangers (for now). Shelfari is a gathering place for authors, aspiring authors, publishers, and readers, and has many tools and features to help these groups connect with each other in a fun and engaging way. Our mission is to enhance the experience of reading by connecting readers in meaningful conversations about the published word.

Good Reads-I heard this site is similar to Shelfari but I didn’t want to bother adding all my books to another site so have not really checked it out.
