Thanks to L. Diane Wolfe for giving me the opportunity to review this book!

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Description from Amazon.com: Book II continues with Lori’s best friend, Sarah …

A student at Georgia Tech, Sarah Martin is bold, intelligent, and appears destined for a career in microbiology. But her poor self-image has been masked by behavior unbecoming to a young lady brought up in an affluent Southern family. Estranged from her father, envious of her best friend’s perfect life, Sarah feels inadequate and unable to measure up to expectations. She is unable to trust or be at peace with herself.

However, something about her roommate’s childhood friend catches her attention. Matt’s joyful spirit and ready smile are positively contagious. What the future NFL receiver sees in her is beyond Sarah and she begins to have doubts …

I have not read book 1 for the story of Lori but I did enjoy this one and felt like I was able to read it as a stand alone book.  I loved the story line as I can somewhat relate to Sarah’s character.  She has a lot of the self doubts that I have had myself and I can understand why sometimes she seemed to sabotage her relationship with Matt.    The one thing I did not like about the characters is how money never seemed to be an issue.  Seemed like Matt was able to get whatever money he needed from his dad and even Sarah mentioned something about her parents being upset with their credit card bill after she ordered Matt’s Christmas gift.  Sometimes I felt like telling them to get a job.  LOL. I have to say though even if the focus of the story was Matt and Sarah I think Mike was my favorite character.  He just seemed so loveable and an all around good guy.

While the story line was great I felt the book could have been condensed a little and about half way through the book I was surprised I still had another half to read as it seemed like the story could have ended right there.  I am glad I kept reading though.  Once Matt and Sarah make their move to another state I really got back into the story.  Overall this was a really interesting book and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

I’m excited. I just saw there is another book about Mike! Definitely going to have to read that one.
