Friends of the Library Book Sale

April 6th, 2009 by Debbie's World of Books

I was all excited that my library was having their used book sale this past weekend but things did not work out as well as I hoped.  First off I was feeling horrible but Friday night was the only day I could go because my husband was going to be out of town all weekend.  So he, my daughter and I all trooped over to the sale where my daughter proceeded to insist I hold her and take her outside.  So I had to do a quick run through the books and ended up only getting a few.  I did get my daughter a few books also but these two couples in front of me snagged all the good children’s books.  Darn!  If only we were 15 minutes earlier.

So unlike the last sale where I snagged over 30 books I think I got myself maybe 4 or 5 books.  Such a bummer.

Sorry you didn’t end up with much! My library is having their sale this coming Saturday and I’m hoping to get there! I probably won’t be able to go right away though, so hopefully all the good books won’t be gone!

Oh well, at least for the next sale in August my husband is supposed to be home all weekend so hopefully I can leave my daughter with him and browse at my leisure.

I hope you get some good finds at your book sale!

I love how you’re planning your summer schedule around book sales. What a devotee! You should start reviewing kids’ books too. (I still remember how sad I was to give my 500 Golden Books to the neighbor girl. )

I love the library book sales :) I should review more children’s books. At least the ones K has me read her over and over. I’ve done a few but not many. I was actually tempted to pick up the classic Nancy Drew books at the book sale but didn’t think I would really have time to re-read them all.
