Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr

I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

Description: Seth never expected he would want to settle down with anyone—but that was before Aislinn. She is everything he’d ever dreamed of, and he wants to be with her forever. Forever takes on new meaning, though, when your girlfriend is an immortal faery queen.

Aislinn never expected to rule the very creatures who’d always terrified her—but that was before Keenan. He stole her mortality to make her a monarch, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any she’d ever imagined.

In Melissa Marr’s third mesmerizing tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and each other in a milieu of shadowy rules and shifting allegiances, where old friends become new enemies and one wrong move could plunge the Earth into chaos.

This book was not bad per se but I did not enjoy it as much as Wicked Lovely.  Aislinn seemed extra whiny to me and pretty self-centered.  In a way I guess that makes her a better match for Keenan.  I did wish I had read Ink Exchange before this even though it mentioned it was the sequel to Wicked Lovely.   There are things that I assume took place in that book that helps explain how things are in this one.  I think what may have bothered me most was this book was mostly set up for I assume the next book in the series so not much action takes place.   The best part for me was when Seth seeks out Sorcha and we see what happens in his quest to become a fairy.

Even though this book was not that exciting for me it definitely seems to be setting up for some great action in the next book and hopefully the resolution of the love dilemmas between Seth, Aislinn, Keenan and Donia.

I am looking forward to getting to this book very soon… I didn’t know when I start the first two books that it was a series, but it really shouldn’t have surprised me!

LOL. Seems like every book is a part of a series lately.
