Revelations by Melissa De La Cruz

revelations

I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

Description from BN.com: Have you ever wondered what secrets lurk behind the closed doors of New York City’s wealthiest families? They’re powerful, they’re famous… they’re undead.

Schuyler Van Alen’s blood legacy has just been called into question – is the young vampire in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy swirls, Schuyler is left stranded in the Force household, trapped under the same roof as her cunning nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden crush, Jack Force.

When one of the Gates of Hell is breached by Silver Bloods in Rio de Janeiro, however, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler on their side. The stakes are high; the battle is bloody; and through it all, Carnavale rages on. And in the end, one vampire’s secret identity will be exposed in a revelation that shocks everyone.

I am really getting into this series now!  I thought book 1 was just so-so and book 2 was definitely more interesting and now after finishing Revelations I am totally left hanging wanting more.  Go figure the next book is not due out until sometime in October and I just saw on De La Cruz’s website she is thinking there will be 10 books in the series.  There is definitely more action in this book and you start to get answers to questions raised in the previous books.  We find out who some of the Silver Bloods are, what is behind Bliss’s black outs, what really happened to Dylan, etc.  All I can say is Wow!  As I got to the end I wanted to groan that it couldn’t be done yet and I wanted the next book right away.  Definitely give this series a try even if you did not enjoy book 1.

I want more books that could be as good :D
I would spend money on books over make-up anyday :)
