Musing Monday April 27

April 26th, 2009 by Debbie's World of Books

Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about reading non-fiction…

Do you read non-fiction regularly? Do you read it in a different way or place than you read fiction? (question courtesy of Diane)

I occasionally read non-fiction but I will admit it’s not my favorite type of books to read.  I’ll pick up ones that catch my eye like Tipping Point or Blink but I have to really be in the mood to read them.  They also take me a lot longer to get through since I don’t really get caught up in a story.  Like right now I am reading a book, Why GM Matters, and it’s interesting but I have been reading it for probably a month now and am not even half way through with it.  I keep taking breaks to read fiction books.

I enjoy reading memoirs and some current event books, but haven’t read too many lately. It has to be something that really interests me. Fiction is my favorite.

I prefer fiction. Sometimes a non-fiction book will catch my eyes, but overall, I like fiction best.

I am rather over memoirs at the moment…and for pleasure, I must say i am all about the fiction.

I do that too..when reading a non-fiction I distract myself with fiction! LOL
