bloggiesta

In case you have not noticed my blog has moved from the free WordPress to a self-hosted site so please book mark the new URL for Debbie’s World of Books!  Things have been pretty crazy at work and at home so I was lucky enough to have a friend who does free lance work with WordPress sites and was able to do the set up and transfer of my old blog.  But that means now I can do all the cool things I wasn’t able to do with the free WordPress site.  What better time to start tackling this than during the Bloggiesta!  If you missed what this is all about check out Maw Books Blog for the details.  So without further ado…

Since this is my first post here is a list of things I hope to do:

  • Install Google Analytics
  • Set up some widgets for what am I currently reading, Twitter, Shelfari, GoodReads, LibraryThing (more to come I’m sure)
  • I think I want a new theme so I have to find one I like
  • I’ve been meaning to put together a more in depth Review Guidelines
  • I plan on joining the what are you reading meme so I want to get my first post written up
  • Write up my Scholastic Book Sale post
  • Work on some interview questions for upcoming blog tours
  • See if I can find a calendar widget or something to post my book tour dates
  • Update my status on all my challenges
  • Participate in the Bloggiesta mini-challenges
  • Just remembered I need to go update my blog url at Book Blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Tecnorati, GoogleReader and who knows where else?

I’m sure there is more but I’m not even sure I’ll be able to finish everything listed above.  So wish me luck!

Congratulations on moving your blog over to self hosted WordPress. There is far more flexibility to work with that way. I hope you like it :)

This is a great list of tasks for the bloggiesta. Good luck to you!
