My Friends of the Library Book Sale Haul

July 17th, 2009 by Debbie's World of Books

Today was the first day of the Fremont Friends of the Library Book Sale.  I did pretty well spending only $9.25.  I picked up 8 books for my daughter plus a boxed set of 11 mini Sesame Street books.  Here is what I got for myself:

  • Sense and Sensibility (which I wanted to read for the Everything Austen challenge after watching the movie)
  • Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon (someone donated their ARC I guess)
  • The Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunant
  • Kiss of Life by Daniel Waters (I’m pretty sure I got Generation Dead from PaperBackSwap somewhere.  This is also an ARC)
  • Labyrinth by Kate Mosse
  • Lost in Austen: Create Your Own Jane Austen Adventure by Emma Campbell Webster (I used to love the create your own adventure books!  And I can use this for my Everything Austen Challenge)
  • The Lab by Jack Heath
  • What I Saw and How I Lied(another ARC version.  I’m guessing one person donated all the ARCs.  I’m curious if there were any others that someone else snagged before me.)
  • Private by Kate Brian

This has been one of my smaller library book sale hauls but I love the books I got!  I can’t wait to attack the pile.

I’m reading Lost in Austen right now – it’s a lot of fun!

Oh you probably did better then I would have…I normally average a good 20 bucks at one of those things! Lol
Speaking of which, I wonder when ours is =]

I know, I was surprised. The last sale I spent about $40. I just found out another library near me is having their book sale next month :)

Wow, great haul! My library had the first day of their book sale on Saturday but I stayed away (for now!). I need to catch up on some of the books I already have. *sigh*

I’m reading Generation Dead now and it’s good!

You are so good to stay away! I don’t have the will power even though I have a ton of books to read at home. I’m already planning to check out my local library’s book sale next month. One bad thing of having 2 libraries within 15 minutes of my house.
