Waiting on Wednesday September 16-The Van Alen Legacy

September 16th, 2009 by Debbie's World of Books

Waiting on Wednesday was started by Jill over at Breaking the Spine. Mosey on over and see what other people are waiting for.

I cannot wait!  Only 1 more month until The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa de la Cruz will be out.  It’s due out October 6.  Blue Bloods started off a little slow for me but it totally had me hooked by book 3.

Description from Amazon.com: With the stunning revelation surrounding Bliss’s true identity comes the growing threat of the sinister Silver Bloods. Once left to live the glamorous life in New York City, the Blue Bloods now find themselves in an epic battle for survival. Not to worry, love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East Side. Or is it? Jack and Schuyler are over. Oliver’s brokenhearted. And only the cunning Mimi seems to be happily engaged.

Wow – that cover is gorgeous! I haven’t picked up any of the Blue Bloods series, but I’m always impressed by the covers. #BBAW

I haven’t read Cruz’s series but I’ve heard a ton of good things about it so I might check them out. There’s just SO many books to read! :)

Just started this series. One of the better teen vampire series out there.

I started reading the first book and to be honest I got very annoyed when towards the end it turned out to be a series. But if Book 3 is as good as you said it is, I might consider picking the series up again.

Oops … forgot to tag on #BBAW to my above comment.

melissa-These covers are great. I’m always drawn in by good covers
Wendy-I heard her other series are pretty good too.
Vampira-you have some interesting books listed too!
Llehn-I knew it was a series so that didn’t bug me what got me was I thought it was a trilogy and it’s not! I was so upset when I got to the end of book 3. Luckily the next one is due out next month.

I’ll continue reading the series (because I don’t think I would ever stop with the first unless it’s awful). But, I hope it gets better than the first one was. I didn’t hate it, just though others were better. Have you read anything else by Cruz?

Page-book 1 was the slowest for me. I took a few months break before reading book 2 and then immediately read book 3.

I can’t wait for this one either! Revelations ended on quite a cliff hanger, didn’t it?
