I give this book 4 out of 5 stars

Description from Cassandra Renfield has always seen the mark—a glow around certain people reminiscent of candlelight. But the one time she mentioned it, it was dismissed as a trick of the light. Until the day she watches a man awash in the mark die. After searching her memories, Cassie realizes she can see a person’s imminent death. Not how or where, only when: today.

This book was just Wow!  This book had me hooked from the start and I couldn’t wait to see what Cassie would end up doing with er strange ability.  The main draw of the story was debating what I would do in her situation.  If you knew someone was going to die today would you tell them and try to stop it?  What if you did and it caused another tragedy?  Would you keep trying?  What if your actions to try and prevent their death actually causes their death?  Could you live with that?  There are no easy answers and it was fascinating seeing the choices Cassie makes and what the people who know about the ability felt she should do.

I absolutely agree. I was surprised by how much I thought about what I would do if I had the same ability as Cassie. And, I really felt bad for her. Especially since everyone seemed to have an opinion about how she should be handling the situation. Very good read.

I especially felt bad about her relationship with her boyfriend. I wonder how it would have turned out if she didn’t have that ability.
