But trusting – and falling for – Olivia will endanger them all. So how has this ‘mortal’ with the huge blue eyes already unleashed Aeron’s darkest passion? Now, with an enemy hot on his trail and his faithful demon companion determined to remove Olivia from his life, Aeron is trapped between duty and consuming desire. If you have been following my reviews you already know I am a huge fan of the Lords of the Underworld series.  This was another great installment in the series.  I have to admit from reading the past books Aeron wasn’t one of my favorite lords and I had assumed early on he was going to somehow end up with Legion.  It was only in the most recent book that we saw Olivia and I started to wonder what would happen in the end.  I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading his story.  He definitely had a softer side that was nice to see and I loved Olivia.  It was hilarious watching this fallen angel explore her humanity and some of her actions and words really made me smile and want to laugh out loud.

We also finally see a little more progress in what is going on with Paris and his woman, Sienna, but of course it was still just a teaser and looks like we are going to have to wait to find out the full story.  Showalter also gives the reader a glimpse into what is going to happen with Gideon which leaves you definitely wanting more.   A larger cast of characters are introduced in this story as we find out more of the history in this war between the gods, which sides each god is aligning with and possibly the return of some characters we thought were long gone.  Definitely a must read for lovers of the Lords of the Underworld series.
