BBAW and Bloggiesta Dates Announced!

June 10th, 2010 by Debbie's World of Books

I am so excited that two of my favorite blogging events have announced their dates for this year.  First off is:

Hosted by Natasha at Maw Books.  This even is taking place June 11-13, 2010.

I for one am super excited about this because I feel like I’ve really been letting my blog go down hill as life has taken over and left me little time to devote to quality blogging.  I may not have much time to participate but I am hoping to polish up some reviews I have scheduled, clean up my blog and catch up on some features I’ve let go.

Some of you may be asking what is Bloggiesta? In short, it’s a blogging marathon.  A opportunity to cross those nagging items off of your to-do list and improve your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing.  Break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two!

What to do during the Bloggiesta?

  • Write reviews.
  • Write backup posts for a rainy day.
  • Write that great post idea from three months back.
  • Work on series posts.
  • The sky’s the limit!

Head on over to Maw Books to sign up and get more details.

The other big even is Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW) which will be Sept. 13-17, 2010

What is BBAW?

What: Book Blogger Appreciation Week is a week long festival celebrating the community of book bloggers and their contribution to preserving a culture of literacy through book reviews and recommendations, reading reflections, and general bookish chat.  BBAW also includes an awards component.  For more information on the BBAW 2010 Awards and how to participate, please visit the BBAW 2010 Awards Blog.  BBAW events include daily blogging topics, blogger interview swaps, special guest posts, and so much more!

Head on over to the BBAW site for more information, registration and to keep up to date on what’s coming up.
