I give this book 4 out of 5 stars

Description from  The non-stop sequel to The Dark Divine delivers an even hotter romance and more thrilling action than Bree Despain’s first novel.  Grace Divine made the ultimate sacrifice to cure Daniel Kalbi.  She gave her soul to the wolf to save him and lost her beloved mother.  When Grace receives a haunting phone call from Jude, she knows what she must do.  She must become a Hound of Heaven.  Desperate to find Jude, Grace befriends Talbot – a newcomer to town who promises her that he can help her be a hero.  But as the two grow closer, the wolf grows in Grace, and her relationship with Daniel begins to crumble.  Unaware of the dark path she is walking, Grace becomes prideful in her new abilities – not realizing that an old enemy has returned and deadly trap is about to be sprung.

I loved The Dark Divine and The Lost Saint did not disappoint.  I could not put the book down and stayed up late to finish it.

The story picks up right after The Dark Divine and Daniel is training Grace in how to tap into her new abilities.  Unfortunately she is having a hard time mastering them and they come to her randomly.  In the meantime, her mom has turned into either the “overprotective mama bear” or a zombie who sits in front of the TV looking for glimpses of Jude who has run away from home.  While Grace does some stupid things in this book I was happy that it wasn’t as bad as in other books where the girl makes obviously dumb choices in order to spite their boy friend.  Yes, Daniel and Grace are having some problems with both of them hiding things from each other but I liked that tension through out the story and what Daniel was hiding from Grace really had me curious.

There is also a new hot potential love interest in the flannel dressing Tal who comes to Grace’s rescue and takes over teaching her how to tap into her powers.  The question is what does Tal really have in store for Grace? Is he a friend or foe?  You will have to read the book to find out.

Most of the story was predictable but still fun but I have to admit the one surprise for me was what happens between Jude and Grace.  That did not turn out how I was expecting and being surprised is always a nice twist.  You are left hanging at the end and will anxiously be awaiting the third book to find out what will happen to Grace and Daniel.  Another wonderful book from Bree Despain.

I was a little worried at the outset on this one. It was a bit slower going in the plot department for the first few chapters. But them BAM when it started it didn’t stop at all and I quite enjoyed it!

I was a little worried since I couldn’t remember so much of book 1 but I loved this.
