End of 2010 Survey

December 24th, 2010 by Debbie's World of Books

I saw this over at A Girl, Books and Other Things and thought it would be fun to fill out.

So, here we go:

1. Best book of 2010?

Would have to be either The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting or I also read for the first time and loved Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell.

2. Worst book of 2010?

Sadly my pick comes from one of my favorite authors. The Elusive Bride by Stephenie Laurens

3. Most Disappointing Book of 2010?

I was drawn  in by the cover and description of Halo by Alexandra Adornetto so I had such high hopes but the story was a disappointment.

4. Most surprising (in a good way!) book of 2010?

The Duff by Kody Keplinger was a nice surprise.  Initially it did not appeal to me and it got mixed reviews but a friend lent it to me saying it was awesome.  I ended up loving it despite some controversial topics.

5. Book you recommended to people most in 2010?

I’ve been recommending both the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins and the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.  I love both series!

6. Best series you discovered in 2010?

Nightshade by Andrea Cremer and The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa were two of my favorite YA series discovered.  For adult books I read a Dark Hunter book and that was awesome. Can’t wait to read the rest of them.

7. Favorite new authors you discovered in 2010?

Julie Kagawa, Lauren Oliver, Andrea Cremer, Sherrilyn Kenyon

8. Most hilarious read of 2010?

Oh My Gods by Teralynn Childs

9. Most thrilling, unputdownable book in 2010?

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

10. Book you most anticipated in 2010?

Last Sacrifice, the last book in the Vampire Academy series, by Richelle Mead

11. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2010?

12. Most memorable character in 2010?

Rose from Vampire Academy

13. Most beautifully written book in 2010?

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

14. Book that had the greatest impact on you in 2010?
