In My Mailbox 10/29

October 29th, 2011 by Debbie's World of Books

In My Mailbox is a weekly feature hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.

I’ve been on a self-imposed book diet and drastically cut back on the number of books I accept for review since my second child was born.  Life was just getting too crazy and I felt like I couldn’t do the books justice.  I finally lifted the ban and I think I might have gone a book binge.  Oops.

Books from NCIBA:

Received for review from San Francisco/Sacramento Book Review:

From NetGalley:

OMG you have Pandemonium and Fever!!! You are so incredibly lucky! Are you going to be reviewing these?

I’m in the middle of reading Maria Snyder’s “Touch of Power” right now. It’s a good book, though the tone of the writing is a bit too simplistic for my taste, and I can’t tell if it’s meant to be YA (some elements of the story count against that) or adult reading (the writing style counts against that). Still, story-wise, it’s not too shabby.

So many great books! I’m dying to know what happens in Fever, since Wither left with such a cliffhanger! Hope you enjoy all of them :)

That’s an impressive amount of books. I recently read “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” and loved it. I also received “Switched” and “Blood Rights”. Looking forward to reading them whenever I can find the time.

Pick up Scorpio Races first! It’s a fantastic read. Love her work!

I’m interested to get my hands on a copy of Born Wicked. I hope you enjoy them all.
