My book reviews, book news & random rants

YA Book Blitz

August 15th, 2012 by Debbie's World of Books

Blogging, Twitter, life in general had to take a back seat for the past two months as I completed probably the most time intensive class I’ve taken in a long time.  It was a class on young adult materials for my post-MLIS certificate program.  One of the big projects was creating a blog and evaluating 50 different young adult materials that I would include in a library collection.  Only 35 of the items could be books so I also had to find CDs, movies, online databases, etc.  It was a stressful project but also amazing because it had to cover as many genres as possible so I read a lot of books I never heard of before and a lot of books that have been on my to read list but I never had a chance to get to.

I don’t have time to go back and write entire new reviews so just wanted to link to them on this blog.  Here are nine of the books I read for the project including GLBT, fantasy, contemporary, manga, steampunk and more.
