Some Changes Are Going On…

September 28th, 2012 by Debbie's World of Books

As you probably saw in my Bloggiesta kick off post I have a long laundry list of things to take care of.  One of the big ones was figuring out an alternative to Feedburner with all the rumors of Google doing away with it.  Now I don’t know if that is true or not but after the whole thing about Google Friend Connect not working with WordPress blogs I figured best to figure this out now rather than later. So I’ve now switched to using Jetpack for email subscription.

So what does that mean for you?  Well, if you are an email subscriber to my blog via Feedburner you may want to unsubscribe and resubscribe using the handy-dandy email sign up field in my right sidebar.  I’m not deleting my Feedburner but who knows when/if Google will do away with it.

If you aren’t a current subscriber I would love it if you do follow now :)

Entangled Publishing

If you follow me on Twitter you may have noticed I’ve been tweeting a lot about Entangled Publishing books.  One of the main reasons why is I am now a publicist working with them and am so excited!  I’m working on finding the right balance between spamming and promoting some of their awesome books.

If you are interested in reviewing books for Entangled Publishing please fill out my contact form so I know what you are interested in.

What does that mean for the blog? I’ve decided I don’t want there to be any problems with conflict of interests so despite loving the Entangled Books as a reader I will not be posting reviews of any of their books that I read on the blog anymore.

Genre Coverage

Every Bloggiesta I debate if I want to turn my blog into a more niche blog that focuses on a particular genre such as young adult fiction since I read so much of it.  I thought about it again and decided to stick with a more eclectic blog since I love adult romances, suspense, mysteries, fantasy and science fiction and just enjoy writing about them all.  The one genre that I won’t be covering here are children’s books but if you are interested you can see some of what my kiddos and I are reading along with other activities we are doing over at my other blog, Adventures of the Non-Creative Mom.

That’s it for now.  There may be more changes by the end of Bloggiesta but probably nothing major.
