July 23rd, 2013 by Debbie's World of Books

Waiting on Wednesday

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly event, hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

My pick for this week is The Sum of All Kisses by Julia Quinn

It is due out October 29, 2013.

I adore Julia Quinn’s romances and can’t wait to get my hands on this one!

The Sum of All Kisses by Julia Quinn

Summary from Hugh Prentice has never had patience for dramatic females, and if Lady Sarah Pleinsworth has ever been acquainted with the words shy or retiring, she’s long since tossed them out the window. Besides, a reckless duel has left this brilliant mathematician with a ruined leg, and now he could never court a woman like Sarah, much less dream of marrying her.

Sarah has never forgiven Hugh for the duel he fought that nearly destroyed her family. But even if she could find a way to forgive him, it wouldn’t matter. She doesn’t care that his leg is less than perfect, it’s his personality she can’t abide. But forced to spend a week in close company they discover that first impressions are not always reliable. And when one kiss leads to two, three, and four, the mathematician may lose count, and the lady may, for the first time, find herself speechless …

New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn’s enchanting third novel in the Smythe-Smith quartet is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud and tug at your heartstrings in equal measures.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Julia Quinn. Historical romances are usually loads of fun. Nice pick! My WoW.

Loved Julia Quinn’s earlier books esp the Bridgertons but her last few novels have been a little disappointing for me. But The Sum of All Kisses sounds fun. Nice pick:)

Yes. And yes. I have it pre-ordered already. I don’t usually pre-order books so far in advance. Julia Quinn is just so delightful and I’m excited about Hugh being the hero of this. I loved him in the last one. He totally made that ending for me.

I adore Julia Quinn so this is a complete no-brainer. I just requested an e-ARC and am hoping to be approved!
